Terms
Isotake by Anomaly · Updated October 24, 2026
Draft — needs legal review. The contact address is still to be confirmed.
These terms cover using Isotake, a podcast recorder made by Anomaly. By signing in or joining a studio, you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
Accounts
Hosts sign in with Google. For now, Isotake is invite-only and open to @anoma.ly accounts. Guests don't need an account: they join from a host's invite link. Keep your invite links and API tokens to yourself; anyone who has them can join your studio or reach your recordings.
Recording people
- Joining a studio means agreeing to be recorded: your camera, microphone and any screen you share, from the moment the host presses Record until they stop.
- Hosts are responsible for telling their guests how the recording will be used and for getting any consent the law requires where they and their guests are.
Your recordings
What you record is yours. Anomaly stores and processes it only to run Isotake for you (uploading, storing, packaging downloads and making transcripts). The host decides who gets the files and when they're deleted.
Fair use
Don't use Isotake to record anyone without their knowledge, to break the law, to share content you don't have the right to share, or to disrupt the service or other people's studios. We may suspend accounts that do.
The service
Isotake is new and changing. We work hard to keep every recording safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or that nothing will ever be lost, so keep copies of what matters. To the extent the law allows, Isotake is provided as is, and Anomaly isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes
We may update these terms. When the change is significant, we'll say so in Isotake before it applies. You can stop using Isotake at any time and ask us to delete your account.
